Floor Prep
We offer two main floor preparation services, diamond grinding and shot blasting. These services are critical to creating a level of service that is prepared for the chemical bonding required for the coating of your choice.
Diamond grinding: This method can remove a variety of common concrete imperfections that may require complete removal. These include concrete that is too rough, pits and divots, and flaking concrete. Diamond grinding provides a good way to prepare your concrete floor without reducing durability.
Shot blasting: This resurfacing method propels tiny metal balls from a machine to blast debris and other materials from the floor. This creates a much more aggressive clean because of the size and velocity of the pellets. It can create a similar result to sandblasting. This is unlike diamond grinding, as it is not intended to level the floor. Shot blasting is typically used to remove paint or old epoxy to provide a bare surface.
